How It Works
1. Email
Send your PDFs, the case details and the e-service address of the person or attorney being served.
2. We serve
We send the documents electronically and record the date, time and address used.
3. Proof of Service
We prepare the Proof of Electronic Service and email it to you for your records or filing.
When Electronic Service Applies
Electronic service is generally used for papers served after a case is underway, on a party or attorney who has agreed to accept it or is otherwise required to.
Good to know
- Electronic service is usually not a substitute for personal service of a summons and complaint. Those typically need to be served in person.
- Rules differ by court and by case type, and the recipient's consent or e-service address may be required.
